According to Beth: All Time Favorite Lipstick

Hello fellow lipstick fans.  I have several lipsticks, and they are all about the same color.  When I shop for a new one I always think I’ve stepped out of my box and picked a new fabulous color, then I get home and it’s about the same as everything else I have.  I’m consistent if nothing else.  I like classic lipstick.  I’ve tried liquid to matte lipsticks and I just don’t love them.

For my fiftieth birthday (it wasn’t that long ago) I got a Christian Louboutin lipstick and I have to tell you, it’s amazing.  In addition to the beautiful packaging it’s just a great lipstick.  It’s creamy, opaque and stays on.  I love it!  Ashley and a friend of hers picked out the color (Silky Satin Lip Color in Impera 300).  They managed to pick “my” color online. They’re good. It’s definitely a splurge.

For everyday wear MAC has great lipsticks in a rainbow of colors at a good price.  Recently I purchased one by Bite Beauty (at Ashley’s recommendation) the color is called Chai. It’s thicker than some of the others I’ve tried but I still like it and maybe next time I’m at the mall I’ll pick a color a little outside my comfort zone.

Turns out I don’t have a favorite lipstick I have a favorite color.  Please let me know if you have a lipstick I should try.
